Wood energy is far from being a fossil and is clearly one of the ways to a sustainable future. For decades it has been considered one of the best tools for stockpiling and conserving solar energy. Generating heat by burning wood, along with solar warming, is at least polluting the planet.
Wood fuel is a renewable energy source because it can be renewable relatively quickly, especially unlike fossil fuels that take several million years to develop. As tree resources go, the forest surface area in Turkey has almost doubled since the 1850s to about 20 million hectares, which is 30% of Turkey's land area. So we are far from alarming predictions that our national forests are disappearing. Biomass will be among the main energy sources of the future.

All of our open and closed wood fireplace models have been extensively tested in accredited testing laboratories in Europe. These tests allow us to provide real performance indicators (nominal heat output, efficiency, CO level etc.) for each model. Our open and closed gas fireplaces (all CE certified and GAZMER approved in Turkey) show the nominal heat inputs. After the necessary tests are done, the product delivery form is signed and the contractor delivers the work. HOW IS THE FIREPLACE INSTALLED?
It is highly recommended that you use a qualified installer who is familiar with applicable standards and regulations, as each fireplace installation has specific requirements. The work done by our certified professionals is usually guaranteed for up to 2 years. After the discovery, depending on the selected fuel type, the project is made and the application is made with the appropriate assembly process.
DOES THE HEATING FUNCTION OF FIREPLACES EFFECTIVE?
Yup. This may vary depending on the type of fuel. While the primary purpose of Decofire wood and gas fireplaces is aesthetic, the nature and high quality of the materials used ensure that performance has something to do with style. Steel is an excellent conductor of heat. Depending on the model, a contiguous volume of up to 350 m3 can be kept warm with the right application, a high-efficiency fireplace. The quality of the burning wood and the location of the fireplace in the house are important factors for optimum heating efficiency. The same is true for natural gas fireplaces.
IS FIRE DANGEROUS IN USE?
A stove or metal fireplace can reach high temperatures during combustion and should not be touched with bare hands. However, the high heat produced by the chamber is actually a warning for both adults and children not to touch the fireplace. It is not recommended to leave very young children alone in a room with any fireplace. When using your Wood Fireplace, excessive loading of wood, closing the hot air vents and not checking the soot retention status of the chimney can cause problems. In order to use your fireplace safely, it is recommended to have it checked by calling the service every year and not to use the fireplace in southwestern areas.
In natural gas fireplaces, however, closing the hot air vents may pose a problem and your gas installer should have regular inspections as in other gas fired combi boilers etc. Since Decofire was founded in 2004, we have not had this type of use issue with any of our fireplaces.
WHY DO FIREPLACE GLASSES BE DIRTY?
In some fireplace models, ceramic glasses are resistant to very high temperatures. As with any glass, it needs to be cleaned regularly. This depends on several factors.
• Adequate ventilation of the window can limit darkening; If the fireplace, combustion air control or damper is used in a closed position, darkening of the glass can accelerate. A good balance is needed between fuel economy and good ventilation. Decofire metal chambers are very adept at this. When using the fireplace in different atmospheric conditions, adjust the flap and air intake settings accordingly to achieve the right balance.
• The quality and moisture content of the wood burned are also important factors. We strongly oppose the use of conifer wood (pine, fir, larch, etc.). The gases and smoke in the burning resin of these woods accumulate rapidly on the windows and inside of the chimney, and the inner part of the chimney shrinks, further reducing the width of the chimney and can be dangerous for soot.
• Wood with a moisture content of more than 20% emits more and denser smoke and causes the glass to darken faster.
• If the chimney is not cleaned regularly, this can also cause tar residue to form on the glass.
FAQS ABOUT FLUELESS FIREPLACES
Can the fireplace be extinguished before the fuel burns completely?
Yup. The fireplace can be extinguished at any time before the fuel runs out. However, we recommend that you continue to burn until the fuel runs out. The extinguishing mechanism is for those moments when you need to leave the house and not leave it on fire.
How do I light the fireplace?
The instruction booklet supplied with the product you purchased provides all the instructions you need to use the Ecosmart flueless fireplace safely and efficiently. Lighting the EcoSmart™ Fireplace is simple – just follow the instructions and you'll have beautiful flames in your home in seconds.
Are Ecosmart Fireplaces easy to install?
EcoSmart™ Fireplaces are designed to be easy to install and operate. With no flue or pipe connections required, EcoSmart™ Fireplaces are very flexible and can be used at any stage of your interior decoration. Contact your distributor for detailed specifications.
What is the installation time?
In fact, there is no real assembly. Our range of Designer Fireplaces and Fireplace Grills can simply be positioned where desired and immediately operated. Our Fireplace Enclosures range is also designed to fit anywhere and be enclosed.
Can Ecosmart Fireplaces be installed anywhere?
Almost anywhere! Ecosmart flueless fireplaces are suitable for all but very small rooms. Details regarding assembly vary according to the model used, and all details are specified in the product user manual.
Before applying Ecosmart, ask your local distributor whether permission is required from authorized institutions. This is subject to authorization in several countries.
Are you sending a team for assembly?
All of our products are designed to be easily assembled and applied. Some Design Series models come disassembled and can be easily put together with the installation guide. The end user can do this himself or have a professional do it.
Do you already have products suitable for my existing fireplace?
Our burner kit and fireplace grate series can be used by placing them in open type (without glass cover) fireplaces that are already built and not used for various reasons. Pay attention to the minimum distances in such applications.
Our fireplace interior grill series consists of products that contain the Ecosmart burner kit, which can be easily placed inside the existing fireplace or used in new fireplace designs.
How to clean Ecosmart burner kits?
All stainless steels can be easily cleaned by spraying a commercially available stainless steel cleaner spray on a soft damp cloth and wiping. When the fireplace is lit and all the fuel is gone and the burner kit has cooled, you can hold it under hot water for a while to remove the bioethanol residues. It is normal for stainless steel to fade over time with burning.
Does the fireplace heat the room it is in?
Ecosmart fireplaces are very efficient because they are flueless. There is no heat escape from the chimney, all the heat released as a result of combustion stays in the room. Please read the burner kit section for heating capacities and volumes.
HOW TO SELECT THE BEST WOOD FOR USE?
Different types of wood have different calorific values and not all burn in the same way.
• Oak, birch, beech, ash, etc. It is preferable to use hardwoods such as They burn with homogeneous flames and remain embers for a long time.
• Take care to avoid harmful gases and take care of your fireplace, glass panels (if any), chimney, environment and your health and NEVER burn the following materials:
- resinous trees such as pine, fir, spruce and other conifers. These produce a lot of heat, but burn quickly,
they splash sparks and the resin they contain creates soot in the fireplace and chimney.
- treated wood (beam, plank, etc.)
- treated or painted wood
- Particleboard cuts (plywood, etc.)
- crates and pallets
- books and newspapers (except for lighting purposes)
- cartons with plastic or any plastic-derived product
Coal. Don't clutter your fireplace with a litter box. Wastes, in addition to releasing toxic gases into the atmosphere,
it can quickly turn into a fireplace that produces unpleasant odors into the atmosphere.
HOW SHOULD WOOD MOISTURE BE FOR IDEAL BURNING?
For the optimum performance of a Wood Fireplace, it is important to burn dry wood. The maximum moisture content for a log ready for burning is 20%.
Depending on storage, the log can be burned 18-24 months after cutting. Storage conditions of wood are very important. Wood, dry and well ventilated
must be stacked in one place. Ideally, it should be stored under a lid with the sides open for adequate ventilation.
Do not place the logs directly on the ground, but on pallets or wooden planks to allow the air to circulate around them.
if wood is not stored properly, it can become damp and thus burn less efficiently and emit polluting gases as it burns.

Heat your home, not our planet...
With the combustion of bioethanol fuel used in flueless fireplaces, no smoke or toxic gases harmful to health are released. Therefore, the freedom to use EcoSmart flueless fireplace grates with a functional flue is entirely up to you.
Most of the heat generated in wood fireplaces escapes from the chimney together with the waste gases. If you have an existing chimney, we recommend turning it off to increase efficiency. You can achieve the same effect by keeping the flap in the closed position if there is a flap in the chimney, and if there is no flap, by closing the chimney with a metal plate.
Safer than wood
Bio-ethanol fireplace grates provide a very clean combustion. It does not create smoke, soot, ash. With these features, it is safer than wood-burning fireplaces.
It is easy to keep clean

ARE FIREPLACE SECTIONS SAFE?
All wood or natural gas fireplace models designed to be placed on walls have a fireproof chamber made of cor-ten steel and
